Michael Anthony Dibble, 47, of Fredericksburg passed away on February 3, 2022 after a long battle with cancer.
Michael Anthony Dibble was born on June 28, 1974 to John and Mary Ann Dibble. He graduated from Gar-Field High School in 1992. After graduation, he joined the United States Army. He spent 20 years in service to our country.
Mike had a contagious smile and could light up a room. Mike enjoyed spending time outdoors. The water was his passion and he spent as much time as he could enjoying activities such as fishing, kayaking, and swimming in his favorite spot in the Rappahannock River.
Mike was incredibly proud of his children. Maria (24) recently completed her degree and has begun teaching history for a local high school. Gage (22) joined the Army in 2019. Gage and his wife Makayla are welcoming their first child this year. Zachary (10) has become a weapon enthusiast and has worked very hard at improving his marksmanship.
He is survived by his father, John Dibble III; mother Mary Ann Dibble; sister Deborah Sullivan; daughter Maria Dibble; son-in-law Matthew Zlomke; sons Gage Dibble and Zachary Dibble; daughter-in-law Makayla Dibble; and partner Nicole Caduff. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John "Jack” Dibble Jr.; and his grandmother, Marie Shannon.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Interment will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
